The 7th Neighborhood Pride Talent Show and Holiday Party was held on December 19th, 2012 at the King Arts Complex.
Mayor Coleman’s Neighborhood Pride program started the Neighborhood Pride Talent Search to outreach to talented Middle School students and provide them with opportunities to get more involved with their neighborhood and the Columbus Arts community at large.
Students audition at their schools to be a part of the program. From the auditions, the selected students will be required to agree to work with their community for 5 service hours. In exchange, Neighborhood Pride Partners in the Columbus arts community offers classes, seminars, and mentoring opportunities to the students in a series of Saturday rehearsals. In December, the students will represent their school and neighborhood.
The Neighborhood Pride Talent Search has worked with the following Middle Schools:
2006: Beery, Clinton, Johnsonpark, Linmoor, Monroe
