9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Animal Clinic - Low cost rabies vaccination clinic for cats and dogs (First come, first served)
- Education about animal safety from Franklin County Animal Control and Columbus Public Health’s veterinarian.
- Availability to purchase Franklin County Dog licenses
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. - The Bicycle Safety Festival - Community Crime Patrol teach safe riding skills and instruction on correct hand signals as children ride through a Safety Town course.
- Franklin County Animal Control, how to be safe around animals
- Columbus Recreation and Parks department’s climbing wall
- Children’s Hospital, Columbus Public Health
- The Fire Safe House and fire safety education from Columbus Division of Fire
- The Columbus Police Officer as your friend
6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. - The Neighborhood Safety Academy - Classes from Division of Police’s Community Liaison Officers on how to empower citizens and keep themselves safe in every day situations.
- Classes about Home Fire Safety from the Division of Fire
- The Kids Academy offers Safety related programming for children age 5 and older.
- Free dinner is served to attendees!
