Neighborhood Pride is a team effort by City departments, neighborhood groups and individual residents, businesses, schools and other partners to make our neighborhoods safer and cleaner, keys to a more vibrant and exciting future for Columbus.

During Neighborhood Pride week, City crews will provide a menu of services, including:

  • Pothole repair
  • Remove graffiti on public property and right-of-way areas
  • Check and repair streetlights
  • Collect bulk trash upon scheduling at 645-3111
  • Paint fire hydrants
  • Inspect and repair catch basins
  • Evaluate exterior housing, refuse, and health code compliance
  • Offer resources to meet home repair needs
  • Trim or remove problematic trees within street right-of-way
  • Offer block watch and fire prevention outreach
  • Provide information on immunization and other neighborhood health needs
  • Address other neighborhood needs as identified

NEIGHBORHOOD PRIDE RESOURCES

Home Safe and Sound: Is your home in need of repair? The City will provide you with information on programs which provide financial assistance to homeowners to correct substandard, unsanitary conditions in houses located in the Pride area.  Call 311 or meet with a Housing Division Staff Person at the Neighborhood Pride Service Center during Pride week to see if you qualify.

Could you use a ladder or power tool to complete a necessary home repair yourself?  The Mobile Tool Library has nearly 200 different types of tools available on loan for home repairs in qualifying areas.
