Agency Services

Mayor Michael B. Coleman’s commitment to the community is also recognized in the City’s level of funding to area human service providers. The City provides financial assistance and technical service to organizations that serve the homeless, youth, individuals with disabilities and the elderly.

Programs funded by the City includes Material Assistance programs, Workforce Development activities, Crime Prevention programs, Literacy Initiatives, Childcare, Refugee and Resettlement services, Substance Abuse – Intervention and Prevention Programs and a wide range of other programs that are designed to assist individuals in need.

The major responsibility of Agency Service staff includes the facilitation of the city's primary Social Service Application for funding, managing the competitive bid review process and coordinating neighborhood improvement projects. Agency Service staff act as Program Managers for individual programs in order to provide technical assistance to agencies and neighborhoods and to monitor outcomes and program performance
