The purpose of the Central City Loan Fund is to provide financing for the acquisition and redevelopment of real property and the purchase of machinery and equipment within the Columbus Empowerment Zone/Core Central City. This program has a two-tiered interest rate structure that is provided upon request. Financing Up to $1,000,000 of City participation with a minimum 10% equity investment from the borrower. The term on each loan may be up to 15 years for real property and 10 years for machinery and equipment. The creation of a minimum of one new low to moderate income job per $30,000 of City investment is required. Who is Eligible? Eligible borrowers consist of existing businesses that are physically relocating or expanding within the Columbus Empowerment Zone Community/Core Central City and developers with a proven successful track record. How Can I Apply? The Community Capital Development Corporation administers loans on behalf of the Division of Economic Development.
