The McKinley Avenue corridor has been designated as a Neighborhood Employment District (NEDS).  These districts were established through the Neighborhood Employment District Initiative, a joint City Council / Chamber of Commerce effort designed to stimulate economic development within the city’s central core.  The plan includes policy recommendations that address identity and character; zoning and land use; streets and traffic circulation; stormwater drainage; and crime and vandalism.
