The amendment area is approximately 243 acres north of US 33, adjacent to a newly-proposed highway interchange at Bixby Road. The Southeast Area Plan was adopted in 2000 and it recommended residential uses for this area. The draft Bixby Road Economic Development Amendment now recommends office, commercial, and mixed-use development for the area.
The Bixby Road Amendment was approved by the Development Commission on September 27, 2007. The Plan was reviewed by City Council and approved on October 22, 2007.
